ABOUT ME
Welcome to my site! I'm Pau González Cayuela, a passionate Game Designer currently pursuing a degree in Game Design and Development at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona.
I've been captivated by gaming since I was young, starting with creating custom levels for Mario and Portal when I wasn't even 10 years old. This early interest sparked a lifelong passion for game development, and my goal is to craft engaging and memorable experiences that bring joy to players around the world.
With a strong foundation in Game Mechanics, narrative design, game balance, level design... I also have technical skills in programming with C#, C++, Unity, ASM, Custom Engines and Unreal Engine. My education has given me a solid understanding of both the artistic and technical sides of game design.
I'm always exploring new ideas and technologies to bring fresh and exciting concepts to life. Whether through complex puzzles, immersive narratives, or unique gameplay mechanics, I strive to create games that resonate with players and stand out in the industry. I have an hiperfixation into the game feel of the mechanics of the game, always ensuring this do not just work but also feel good and with flow.

I'm driven by a passion to create games that provide players with memorable and enjoyable experiences. My goal is to use my creativity, technical skills, and enthusiasm to contribute to innovative and successful game projects. I look forward to joining a dynamic team where I can collaborate with other talented professionals and continue to grow as a game designer. From the technical to the creative part.

BLOODLUST.
75 studio upcoming title
Game Designer, Director and programmer
BLOODLUST. Is the upcoming title for the first game that will be released from 75 studio. The game consists in a knight that has to take revenge and kill the dragon that has eaten the kingdom's princess. However, there is a big twist, he has been cursed and now he needs to eat blood to survive.
The game is an arcade medieval FPS set in the catalan folklore of "Sant Jordi"

C.U.B.E is an original puzzle game that consists on a mechanic of shift perspective to reach the goal. You play in 3 views: a 3D isometric one, and 2 2D perspective views.
You will also need to place blocks, give them colours etc... This game is not yet released as I am searching for a music artist to publish a Demo.

BanADNa is a genetics based Rogue-Lite in which you need to arrive to 50 waves. In order to do that, you must evolve your monkey, choosing the evolving path build which will allow you to survive the most.
You have two ways to die: by enemies killing you, or by aging.
SWAN LAKE

Swan Lake is a game of intrigue and strategy where players take on secret roles as swans. Most players are White Swans competing to become the Swan Queen, but one is secretly a Black Swan seeking power through hidden means. The White Swans must uncover the Black Swan's identity to prevent them from winning, while the Black Swan aims to deceive the group and claim victory.
This game is based on the famous ballet play named the same, and has a lot of similarities with the original story. In the original Swan Lake, Odette, a girl who has been transformed into a White Swan due to the curse of evil Rothbart, has to win the love of the prince in order to break the spell and become a woman again. Similarly to the game, in the ballet there’s a Black Swan, Odile, who, disguised as a White Swan, tries to steal the prince from Odette.

城の登高 (The castle's ascension)

Players fight in order to be the first ones to have a castle (4 towers, 1 roof) in their village. Along the way, players can build different buildings and fortify them, and also they can screw each other.
The reason behind this game, is that I wanted to do a casual game with a clear game loop which works without any game experience flaw. Reception has been good, people who played it had fun.

Shojo Infinita is a 2D fighting game for PC. Magical girls fight for their place in the Mahō Shōjo Sans Frontières in a tournament hosted by the Magical World Defender Organization.

This project was made for the Level Up Game Jam 2024, where we ranked 6th from 95 games.
I wanna be the president! is a single player top down frenetic experience in which the player (who plays as the president) needs to overcome several minigames in order to become the elected president and put a break on chaos.
